Fun in Park City

We wanted to go somewhere for a day or two as a family while Mike was here, after tossing around several options, we settled on Park City. My brother works for Marriott and was able to get us a discounted rate at a very nice resort.

We went April 7th-8th. Short and sweet, but a lot of fun.

When we arrived we checked in and then went to find somewhere to eat dinner. We found a nice Mexican restaurant called Baja Cantina. I don't remember what everyone ordered, but I know that my chicken flautas were delicious. Everyone seemed happy with their food and we had an enjoyable dinner time. We shared a lot of laughs around the table and played some movie trivia games...a family favorite.

After dinner we walked back to the resort and went to the free smores activity by the firepits. We made it just as they were getting ready to wrap things up, perfect timing as we didn't have to fight for space by the fire :)

Later on we went to the game room to compete in a family trivia game they were having.

We competed against 3 or 4 other families and we won! It was a lot of fun.

Basically you took turns going to the hot seat and they would ask a question like, What is your favorite color? The family would have to write their answer on a dry-erase board and then which ever family member was in the hot seat would give their answer and if it matched then you got a point.
Our prize was some tokens to spend at the resort and we each got a little bottle of sparkling cider :)

After the family trivia game was over we just stayed in the game room because they were having a Mario Kart tournament. Dallin won his round and Noah got 2nd place in his round. The other 3 kids weren't worried about Mario Kart because they were busy playing Minecraft :)

Next we headed to the hot tubs and the pool. The kids were crazy (in my opinion) and spent some time in the pool...it was outdoors, and claimed to be heated, but it was too cold for me :) I was perfectly content to stay in the hot tub.

After swimming we went back to our room and had family prayers, then we popped some popcorn and watched a movie. It was a very full day, but a fun day.

The next day we got up and went first thing to the fitness center at the resort and spent some time exercising as a family.

Then we purchased some yummy smoothies with our trivia game winnings.

Then I took Grace, Isaac and Anna back to the pool...I told you they were crazy!

...and Mike played pool with Noah and Dallin.

Grace Isaac and Anna did stop by the fire to warm up a bit after their swim :)

Before too long we had to check out and head home. On the way home we stopped at Kneader's for a yummy lunch.

Like I said, it was a very quick trip, but it was so worth it. I think everyone had a good time.
