Tuesday afternoon the kids were playing on the trampoline and I was inside when I heard screaming...this is not unusual, so I wasn't really alarmed.
As I was going to see what happened, Noah brought Isaac inside and said, "Mom, Isaac's head is bleeding."
As soon as Isaac turned around I saw all the blood running from his head down the back of his neck...so did Grace and it really scared her. I think she really thought he was going to die and started to cry. I consoled her and told her that I was sure he was going to be ok (he wasn't even crying...until he saw the blood anyway.)
Noah was calm and cool and said, "Mom, let me help. This is what I'm trained for, they don't teach you about stuff like this in scouts for nothing." Of course I let him help, and he did a great job.
After we got the blood washed off and found the cut, it was pretty small. I know that head injuries are famous for bleeding a lot, but I was relieved that it wasn't serious.
Oh, and Isaac assured me that none of his brains came out :)
Isaac was tired of holding the cold pack on his head, so Noah came up with this...not sure why he didn't use one of the boy's scarves, but Isaac didn't seem to mind.
Maybe he thought it was the best match for Isaac's shirt.
I'm actually surprised that his shirt didn't have much blood on it. I guess it's because he was tilting his head down and most of the blood was pooling on his neck.
We're glad he's ok (we even still went to scouts that night)...and really glad that it wasn't another broken bone, or anything more serious.

Whew! glad all was well.
And WOW! scouting actually does teach you something, way to go Noah!
And glad Isaac's brains are all intact!!
lovin the ice pack holder :)
Aren't we grateful for scouting and what these young men learn and are able to put into practice! Great job, Noad. Isaac, we are so glad that your brains didn't come out and that you didn't break anything. You must have a good guardian angel.
So glad it wasn't as bad as it looked. Baden fell and hit his head and unfortunately he had to get stitches. No fan of head wounds.
I'm so sorry he go hurt, glad he's ok. Good job Noah!
that was a little scary. I am so impressed Noah. You should live closer by us so you can protect a house full of girls. My only son is in cub scout. I don't think they teach him how to treat head injure yet.
Oh his poor little look on his face says so much. What a good sport and great brothers, sisters and MOM he had there to take care of him and be concerned for him. Love the rainbow...maybe Noah picked that one to bring a smile to his face with all of the colors...
