Time With Friends

Got to spend some much needed time with good friends the Voks and the Smiths.

On Wednesday night we had a delicious dinner at Thai Village.
Then we came back to our house and played some jackbox.tv games.
We had such a great time full of conversation and laughter.

On Thursday I was able to spend the day with LeeAnn and Nina.
We had a yummy breakfast at Kneaders and then just visited until Nina had to leave.
After we dropped her off we stopped by Menchie's (of course!)
So glad for the time we got to spend with these great people!

Tevia and Kim Visit

This past weekend was great! I had a visit from one of my dearest, long-time friends, Tevia. She came to Utah with a friend of her's named Kim, who I now consider a friend of mine.

They were making the trip so that Kim could take advantage of the family history resources in Salt Lake City. She is so excited about family history! Just being around her and watching her find new things made me get excited about it too :)

The first night they were here I helped Kim a little bit. I got her set up on FamilySearch. When Mike got home he helped her a lot more with her genealogy. It was actually just fun to be in the room observing her as she came across people she hadn't found before.
Friday, they spent most of their day in Salt Lake so I didn't see them much that day, I had to go to work anyway so it was fine. They got back pretty late, we stayed up a little bit talking about their day.

On Saturday I made puff pancakes for breakfast. I cut up some fresh mango to go on them too. I think they were really tasty. After that, Tevia and Kim and I headed out for a girls day. We drove up Provo Canyon. I think Kim was excited to see some snow still on the ground and she really loved the mountains. We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls for a photo op. I pretty sureKim got a picture too...but I didn't get one of her.

Next we went to the BYU bookstore.
Look closely, you can see the Y on the mountain

After the bookstore we had a nice lunch at a hawaiian barbecue place and then got some delicious ice cream at the BYU Creamery. I had the caramel cashew, it was amazing!
Saturday night Tevia was awesome (which is nothing new) and bought Austenland so that we could watch it. Love the book and really loved the movie too :)

On Sunday they had to leave. I was sad to see them go, but so glad that they came out for a visit and even more glad that they stayed at our house. Good friends are truly a blessing in life, Tevia has blessed my life for many years. I'm so thankful for her friendship and I can't say enough good things about her. She is simply one of the best people I know!

LeeAnn's 50th Birthday Surprise!

My dear friend LeeAnn turned 50 and I got to fly out and surprise her for her birthday, our friend Nanette drove down from New Jersey too and we both showed up on her doorstep to surprise her on the morning of her birthday. It was awesome! Her reaction was perfect! So fun to surprise her... glad her husband thought of it :)

We had a lovely day together. We went to lunch and then got pedicures and frozen yogurt, then we went back to her house for a surprise party that a bunch of people had gathered for. I think she had a great day, and she totally deserves it! So thankful to be blessed to have her as one of my best friends...and glad she puts up with me :)

I can't believe that I didn't take any more pictures from my trip, I must have been having too much fun, ha ha!

When I got home and off the airplane, a handsome guy was waiting for me. Love that he would just take a little extra time to do something different and fun!
