Festival of Lights Lighting Ceremony

On Thursday night we were given the opportunity to attend the Lighting Ceremony for the Festival of Lights at the Washington D.C. Temple. The kids weren't really excited to get in church clothes on a Thursday, but once we were there they enjoyed it. The program was very nice. They even invited all of the children in the audience to go down to the stage and sing with the choir, they were so cute. 

They gave each kid a jingle bell necklace and a candy cane. After the program we went and looked at the display of nativity scenes from countries around the world. Then we went outside and walked around a little to enjoy the lights. Lights are one of my favorite things about Christmas.

What a wonderful way to spend a Thursday night!
