Springtime Snowfall

Snowfall in April?
I guess that's normal in Utah :)
 Sasha liked it
I'm not sure my tulips did :)

They had a great time!

Thankful my kids have good friends.

The Cutest Little Snowman Ever!

We had a little snow yesterday and Grace made this cute little snowman
on the top of one of the little bistro tables :)

First Snowy Morning

On October 4th we had our first snowy morning since moving to Utah.
The kids were excited to wake up to beautiful snow on the mountains
and even a little on the grass.
...but they quickly found out that it's different here than in Maryland...
they still had to go to school!

Snow much fun!

The kids were thrilled (truth is, so was I) to have a snow day last Wednesday.
Dallin is not a fan of the cold (truth is, neither am I) so he didn't venture out.
Noah was sick in bed all day, poor guy. Stinks to be sick on a snow day :(

Grace, Isaac and Anna spent a little time in the cold and very wet snow.
Grace made a cute little snowgirl.

I think Sasha liked it the most.
She didn't want to come back inside.
I was calling her and she just stood there looking at me.

I guess I shouldn't have been surprised, she is a husky after all :)

There's No Business Like Snow Business!

...and all business seems to stop here when it snows!
Anyway....I can't believe it has taken me this long to post about all the snow. Better late than never I guess.
The snow started on Friday the 5th and didn't stop until late the night of the 6th. Then on the 10th, we got hit again. The kids finally went back to school today after being out since the 4th of February.

So pretty

I like how our patio table looks like a giant mushroom.
A big "Thank You!" to the wonderful friends who helped shovel our driveway.
The kids even got in on the action! All were rewarded with delicious hot chocolate.
We had a great time playing in the snow!
We even went sledding on the big hill behind our house.
Here are a couple little videos of our snow fun

Hope you enjoyed this little peek into our snow vacation.
Last night we took the kids to Dairy Queen to get Blizzards in honor of the blizzard we survived.
Turns out only Noah and Dallin wanted Blizzards, the other kids just wanted ice cream cones. Oh well, cheaper for us and everyone was happy!

Our Christmas

Before I get into our Christmas, I just thought I'd share with you what was waiting for us when we returned from Florida...

...so naturally they had to play in it!

My snow angels

Dallin throwing snowballs

Making snowmen

This is the first snowman Isaac has made on his own, I thought it was so cute. I think it's kind of funny how his mouth is straight in the picture above while he is being made, but when he is finished (below) he is smiling, I'm pretty sure that was an accident, but I love it!

Needless to say, it was very cold when we went caroling on Christmas Eve, and there was even some snow left on Christmas day, so I guess you could say we had a white Christmas.
Happy kids on Christmas morning

Some of the goods from their stockings

Grace made some gifts for Noah and Dallin and Uncle Joe gave the kids Dance Dance Revolution, they loved it! They also loved the comfy socks that came with the gift cards from Grandma and Grandpa Bush.

We loved the fun cards and gift cards from Papa and Nana.

Grandpa Jim made the kids gifts from leather, the girls got coin purses with their initials on them, and the boys received scripture cases, very cool!

And I'm not sure why I don't have a picture of the kids with the cold hard cash from Granny, but it sure made them smile!

Opening their gifts from Santa.
Isaac was so happy to get a Nintendo DS lite

Noah and Dallin were very excited to get Lego sets, they started building them right away!

Grace and Anna got a nice big doll house

Mom put it together and it didn't take long before the Barbies moved in.

The girls got tickets to see The Princess and the Frog in their stockings, so we went out and watched it together Christmas morning. We really liked the movie and it was nice having girl time. What a great stocking stuffer!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Thank you to all of you for your cards, emails, phone calls, gifts and treats. We are blessed to have such great friends and family.
