New Fun with Old Friends

...and by "old" friends, of course I mean long-time, not old as in age :)

Recently we had the chance to spend some time with our friends the Chandlers. We met them while living in Monterey, California about 11 years ago.

The last time we saw the Chandlers was probably about 8 years ago. We have stayed in touch through facebook and blogs. When they found out they would be coming out our way last month we planned to get together. We met up with Megan and her cute kids at the Air and Space museum (a favorite among kids!)
Paper airplane contest
Testing their knowledge and designing their own space station
Learning about how it was to fly on old passenger airplanes.

They had fun sliding down the hand rails outside the museum...until someone came out and told them they had to stop! Yeah, I guess we are troublemakers!

We had such a fun time reconnecting and all the kids got along so great!

Isaac and Eldon McKay
 Anna, Rebecca and Zac
 Dallin and Carson
(Noah was out feeding the meter with Mike so he missed getting in this picture...don't cry, he was fine!)
 Lydea, Grace and Haylee
Megan is awesome...so much fun!
We are bummed that we didn't get to see Karl, but he was busy at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. We really hope they get that position and decide to move out here. It would be nice to get to see them more often :)

*Interesting little side-note...
We had a missionary serve in our ward here named Elder Chandler. We joked with him saying, "Oh, we know some Chandlers." He asked us their names and we told him...turns out that he was actually Karl's cousin, funny!

It is always fun to be with "old" friends. Especially when everyone gets along!

Old friends are great, even old people friends can be great. Glad it was such a pleasant reunion

Ah, you are getting to see so many great friends lately. I need to rip a page out of your book that teaches you how to stay in touch better with those we love so much.
