Bush Family Reunion 2015
Our family was in charge of the reunion this year,
so we thought it would be a great idea to bring my Dad's backyard carnival.
It was a hit!!
The candy/money dig is always a fun tradition.
A wonderful part of family reunions is getting to catch up with family that I don't get to see often.
I got a picture with my cousin Lonnie and her husband Roger.
I still remember when my sister Jan and I spent a few weeks with them one summer long ago.
We worked in their hardware store and just had a fun time with them.

Fun Family Home Evening Activity
Last night our FHE activity was a lot of fun.
My mom set up a few relay games for us.
One of the favorites is pictured below.
We put a tennis ball in one leg of panty hose and then put it on our head.
Then we had to knock over water bottles with the ball, no hands allowed!
Isaac and Anna starting us off.
Dallin and I going head to head :)

I think Dallin left us all in the dust on the paper airplane relay
We also had a good lesson on journals from Dallin
and Marcy made some delicious blackberry cobbler
(with fresh berries from her backyard). We added some ice cream too!

Later we played 2 dollar basketball
and this cutie was the winner!

Girls Day Out
Oh my goodness!
What a fun day I had today!
I got to hang out with my awesome friends Nicole and Whitney.
We started at Kneaders.
We only originally planned to go to Kneaders...
but one thing led to another, ha ha!
We went to Thai Drift because Whitney had never had mango and sweet rice,
so so yummy!
so so yummy!
Next we headed to Sub-Zero because Nicole had never had that!
For some reason there is a large shark hanging up in Sub-Zero
so of course we had to get another picture.
We ate a ton of calories and had at least as much laughter and fun.
I'm sure going to miss these ladies!

Girls Night Out!
Some good friends I met while we lived in North Carolina were in town and we decided to get together for a girls night. We met and had dinner at Tepanyaki and then went to Rita's for dessert.
At Tepanyaki, I was the only one willing to try and catch the shrimp :)

Me, Liz, Katie, Christine and Jenn in the center
It was so fun seeing these amazing women and catching up with them.
We even extended the festivities and got together again and did Anti-Gravity yoga.
(Not sure if I want to do that again, ha ha!)

Trek
Noah and Dallin were able to go on Trek to Martin's Cove and Sixth Crossing in Wyoming.
They left on July 29th and got home yesterday on the 1st.
I've really enjoyed listening to them tell about their time there.
They had some wonderful spiritual experiences that I know they will always cherish.
We heard great reports from the missionary couples who work there.

They had such nice things to say about our group of youth.
Many of the youth, including Noah and Dallin,

shared their experiences in fast and testimony meeting today.
I feel like it was one of the best testimony meetings I've attended.
The Spirit was so strong and the youth bore powerful witnesses!

Things our kids say - July
7-1 Isaac: Mom, what would you do if Dad was John the Baptist?
7-4 Dallin: Hey my tongue is on fire, I'm going to stick it out...I have a short tongue...you know who doesn't have short tongue, the guy from KISS. Hey mom, what's the name of that guy from KISS?
7-4 Dallin: I don't really like grilled hot dogs, it reminds me of a giant grilled worm.
7-8 Dallin: (We were listening to the song called Cups...and it say's You're gonna miss me by my talk, oh...You're sure gonna miss me when I'm gone. Well, Dallin said it sounded like, You're gonna miss me by my tac-o. Now that's all I hear when I listen to that song :)
7-8 Anna: I don't have a funny bone, I'm all funny!
7-11 Isaac got home from scout camp today and said, "I was just starting to miss you guys."
7-11 Isaac: I did not poop as much as I thought I would at camp...just a weird fact!
7-12 Dallin: It would be easier if the driver's seat was in the middle of the car.
7-13 Grace: What if no one in Saudi Arabia likes Doctor Who?
7-14 Isaac: I used to get a bunch of free stuff because I was cute...seriously, I did!
7-15 We were playing a game at Shannon's bridal shower and you had to think of something that started with the letter N that she should bring on her honeymoon. Anna's answer was...Not cats!
7-16 Part of Isaac's prayer: Bless that we'll know what to do and when to do it.
...Amen!
7-18 Anna: I want to buy a trailer.
7-18 Anna: If I was an old lady working at McDonalds, I wouldn't be very proud of myself.
7-19 Noah: If I had an adopted son, I'd remind him of it every day, "Good morning adopted son."
He adopted my sunglasses for this picture :)
7-21 Isaac: Some things Americans do are so weird...like making abbreviations for stuff.
7-27 Isaac: Today smells weird. It's true! Have you been outside?
7-27 Isaac: Just kidding...I mean j k
7-27 Listening to Isaac spell something out (a minecraft server I think) to his friend over the phone and these are some of the things I heard...
p as in purple (nice!)
u as in urban
o as in orc
but my favorite was e as in eye...I just thought it sounded funny, and could be very confusing.
7-27 Dallin: He's wearing Mario suspenders...what are those called? Oh yeah, overalls.
7-29 Isaac: Would you trade video games for world peace?
7-29 The kids thought it was pretty funny how my hair kept getting sucked up in the sunroof :)
7-4 Dallin: Hey my tongue is on fire, I'm going to stick it out...I have a short tongue...you know who doesn't have short tongue, the guy from KISS. Hey mom, what's the name of that guy from KISS?

Cowabunga Bay
Yesterday our dentist and orthodontist offices rented Cowabunga Bay for a patient appreciation party.
We kind of decided last minute that we would go.
We got in for free and we could bring friends for only 5 dollars each,

None of Grace's friends could come,
so she was nice enough to let me be her friend :)
Oh and Dallin had plans with friends to do something else that day so he wasn't with us.
