Cowabunga Bay
Yesterday our dentist and orthodontist offices rented Cowabunga Bay for a patient appreciation party.
We kind of decided last minute that we would go.
We got in for free and we could bring friends for only 5 dollars each,

so I let the kids invite someone if they wanted to.
Isaac and his friend Brayden
Anna and Alexa
Noah with Kenz and Skylee
(It was Skylee's 16th birthday)

None of Grace's friends could come,
so she was nice enough to let me be her friend :)
Oh and Dallin had plans with friends to do something else that day so he wasn't with us.

Lagoon
We had a fun day at Lagoon!
We even met some people who live in Riyadh, the Steele's.
I think Anna has already made a friend in their daughter Alayna :)
We knew that the Riyadh group went to lagoon today, but we didn't know how to meet up with any of them. We just happened to find them when we were standing in line behind them at Subway for lunch and I recognized a name that was spoken, so I got brave and asked them and sure enough they were the group we were looking for :) They seem pretty nice.
Oh and in case you are wondering why Noah isn't with us, he is in Colorado with his cousins Zach and Katie...not really babysitting them since they aren't super little, but he's just staying with them for a week while they are off school and my sister Michelle is at work.

Candy Bomber & Doctor Who
Dallin, Grace and Anna and I went to Scera Park
(along with about a billion other people)
(along with about a billion other people)
to see the Candy Bomber, Gail Halvorsen, make what could be his last drop ever.
He is 94 years old now.
Anna loved reading this book in 3rd grade!

It was really hot!
We didn't get one of the parachutes (just too many people there!)
but we did see the plane :)
Later that day I took Grace and her friends, Audrey and Emma,
to Barnes & Noble for a Dr. Who fan event.
They LOVED it!

Ward Pool Party
We had our annual ward picnic and pool party last night.
I was assigned to bring a dessert.

I brought a fruit pizza.
It was gone it about 2 seconds :)
(always makes me feel good)

I invited my family again and they came.
I think everyone had a pretty good time.
My sister got this picture of me with my cute nephew Levi

It was a nice evening :)
I loved how Cedric (a 16 year old) didn't think he was too cool to hang out with Isaac at the pool.
It always means a lot to a younger kid when and older kid spends time with them :)

Mini Baking Camp at Cravings
We love Cravings Alisha's Cupcakes!
We saw them on Cupcake Wars :)
The first time they were on they didn't win, but then they came back in Season 7 and won!
(We also LOVE Cravings Bistro and their delicious grilled cheese sandwiches
...but this post is about cupcakes)

I signed Grace and Anna up for a 2 day mini baking camp there and they loved it!
End of the first day.
End of the 2nd day (and last day.)
Grace and Anna with Alisha and Alisha's daughter, who wanted so badly to be in the picture too.
And also Alisha's assistant who helped with the classes.
The girls had a great time and came home with some tasty treats :)

Clark Planetarium
Another thing on our summer fun list.
I went with my kids, except for Dallin who had plans to see a movie with some friends.
Melanie brought her kids. Blythe and Asher came and my mom and dad came too.
We paired all the kids up as buddies.
Isaac and Henry
Anna and Julianne
Grace and Maren
Noah and Eve were the cutest buddies.
He was so good with her and they just looked so cute together :)
Everyone loved the big infrared camera exhibit where you could play around with hot and cold plates and see the thermal imaging results.
Kids on the moon :)
and on Mars!

Neptune Park
My sister-in-law Melanie and I tried to plan a bunch of activities to do together before we move.
We figured if we actually put them on the calendar then we would be more likely to do them.
We didn't want to get to our moving date and feel regret that we didn't spend more time together.
(We've got several things planned, hopefully we'll get to do them all!)
Anyway, one of our first activities was to go to Neptune Park.
It's in Saratoga Springs and has a 30 foot climbing pyramid.
When it was put in in 2012 it was in the news as being the largest of it's kind in the world.
Not sure if that is still true now, but it is really big!
Anyway, this was a cool park.
All the kids enjoyed it...even the teenage boys!
(and why wouldn't they...they love climbing on things)
Naturally, I took a bunch of pictures...
Don't worry I didn't put them all in this post, but there are a lot! :)
